The computer and electronics giant, Apple, Inc. is the owner of a small hydroelectric plant in Culver, Oregon, which it operates as part of its ongoing commitment to power its resources exclusively with green energy.

CHC provided the equipment to the developer, EBD, and commissioned the plant in 2015. The equipment package included three 900 mm axial flow turbine-generator sets with hydraulic power units. The project was done in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Energy and is capable of generating almost 3.5 MW of power using irrigation water diverted from the Deschutes and Crooked rivers.
