The Gilman Hydro Project is located partly in the Village of Gilman, in Essex County, Vermont and partly in the town of Dalton, New Hampshire. In effect, the boundary between the two states passes through the plant, so that two of the facility’s four generating units are in New Hampshire, and the other two are in Vermont.
In 2010, CHC supplied a 1225 mm camel back turbine assembly consisting of a left and right handed 1225 mm horizontal double Francis runners with main turbine shaft and distributor assembly. The new equipment was designed and manufactured to fit to the existing draft tube and was commissioned in 2011.
