The Holtwood Dam was built in 1910 and is located on the Susquehenna River in Holtwood Pensylvania. The hydroelectric facility is owned and operated by PPL Generation LLC and is a ten unit facility with an installed capacity of approximately 108 MW.
CHC provided two 1350 mm vertical Francis auxiliary units and two synchronous generators to replace two decommissioned units. The new units were put into operation in 2010 and have a combined capacity of 2.8 MW.
