BROOKFIELD RENEWABLE
Milford, ME
The Milford generating station, now owned and operated by Brookfield Renewable, is located on the Penobscot River in the State of Maine. The powerhouse was built in 1906 and contained four turbines with an installed capacity of 6.4 MW. In 2011, CHC provided two additional turbine/generator sets, which were installed within the existing footprint of the original powerhouse. The new 1700 mm vertical axial flow units with 750 kW/257 RPM vertical synchronous generators provide an additional 1.4 MW of production capacity to the plant.
